The California Secretary of State sends a postcard approximately 3 months before the state filing deadline for a California statement of information, whether it has been filed already or not. The State does not check the status of the company in advance of mailing the postcard, which often results in our clients receiving a postcard even though we have already satisfied the California statement of information requirement for that filing period. As part of our entity management service, we proactively track and file the statement of information in advance of the due date, and guarantee the timeliness of the filing. We do not rely on the postcard to tell us whether the filing is due.
